MULTIROTOR OPERATES IN A REAL-WORLD-ENVIRONMENT

First Fuel Cell Powered Multirotor to Operate in a Real-World Environment - EnergyOr H2Quad 400
2015-10-27 – EnergyOr Technologies recently demonstrated the H2Quad 400 which is the first fuel cell powered Quadrotor in the world to operate outdoors in a real-world environment. Further optimization will be performed in the coming weeks with the end objective being the demonstration of a long endurance flight, complete with HD video camera, for 2 hours or more.

EnergyOr has achieved a flight of more than 10 hours with its fuel cell powered operational UAV, the FAUCON H2. The aircraft, complete with integrated avionics, executed a predetermined flight plan for 10 hours and 4 minutes, then landed autonomously just after sunset on Friday, August 12th, 2011 in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada. In February of 2013, EnergyOr also performed the first ever fuel cell powered UAV endurance flights in India.

    Hi, I am currently working on a project developing a UAS for forest fire detection. I am interested in using a fuel cell power system as a primary power source for the UAS. The maximum weight which can be allocated for the power system is 3.5kg. The power system needs to supply 22-25V with an average current of 12A (30A maximum). If you could send me some details about the power system used in the H2Quad 400, or any mature integrated power supply solution for multirotor UAS, that would be great. Regards, Steven
